Owl and Raccoon filled the balloons at the spigot then skulked to the backyard. Owl’s sister lay on the grass in her bikini, propped up on her elbows.
The boys noticed the neighbour, pretending not to stare at her as he watered his garden.
Raccoon gave the signal and they crept closer. The bombardment began. Water-filled bladders wobbled through the air. The first one missed, but the second was a direct hit. As was the third. And fourth.
Her shocked scream surprised the neighbour who fumbled with his hose and soaked himself.
She chased them as they ran away laughing.
