Owl and Raccoon – Fish King

Prompt courtesy of the Friday Fictioneers.

“This Fish King has tormented the people for too long,” Owl said. Raccoon lifted his visor and stared up at the fortress before them.

The walls undulated like waves rolling in to shore. Its multicoloured stones cut and formed from coral reefs. The railings around the innumerable balconies were the open jawbones of man-eating sharks.

A moat filled with colossal leeches surrounded the castle. Guards covered in prickly crab shell armour scuttled along the grounds, armed with marlin spears and oyster shields.

“Getting inside will be impossible,” Raccoon said, studying the defenses. “If only we brought a can of worms.”

  1. You gotta love those guards: “Guards covered in prickly crab shell armour scuttled along the grounds, armed with marlin spears and oyster shields.” What a fun story!
