Owl opened the door as if it hadn’t been locked at all. They crept through dark kitchen, using a small flashlight to find their way. The room they wanted was on the second floor. They kept their feet close to the wall, to avoid any creaks. At the top they split up, Owl went left and Raccoon went right.
Nothing on the right side.
The second room on the left had the bronze statuette they wanted. Raccoon stood guard against the door. Owl wrapped and stowed their prize in his briefcase.
They left quietly, locking the kitchen door behind them.
