Fine, I’ll show you.
A woman’s profile. Biting. Sharp against the background. Cliffs. Crashing waves. Or maybe, nothing. Grey ambiguous sky. The wind rattling bare branches. Her breath visible. Filmed from her left. Sharp focus. Contrast. Pale skin, reddened around the edges. The camera circles, counter-clockwise. Slow. Until it reaches her right ear. It speeds up quick. Dizzying. Whips all the way around twice.
Then crawls. Creeps from the right profile until it comes to rest on her face. Wet eyes. Mouth pulled.
This is how we understand she is distraught. We pity her. It’s easy enough to do.
