Table Manners

“Ordering pizza doesn’t count as making dinner.”

“What?”

“I’m saying that if you order pizza tonight, it’s still your turn to make dinner tomorrow.”

He stared at her, trying to work out the logic. He couldn’t. And said as much.

“You didn’t make anything. It’s not that hard,” she said.

“But I’m paying for it.”

“You didn’t put any effort in. It doesn’t count.”

“I had to work to get the money. There’s your effort.”

“Are you being dumb on purpose?”

“No, I just don’t see why you wouldn’t make dinner tomorrow.”

“Fine. I’ll just order something then.”

“Fine. Ribs?”
