Like Those Russian Dolls

It was one of those holiday weeks at home when you just accumulated more layers the longer you stayed inside, until the night before finally heading back to work and you spent thirty minutes peeling off slippers, heavy wool socks, medium wool sock, regular sport socks,  jogging pants, long johns, undershirts, t-shirts, long sleeve merino wool shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters and tuques before stepping into the shower for the first time in who knows how long.

The days blur when you only spend three hours at time awake or sober or digesting heavy meals that always include bacon grease and gravy.
